Jeffrey Wayne Hayes, 61 of Henderson passed away at his home on May 8, 2020. He was born July 19, 1958 in Evansville, In. to the late Jim and Jackie Hayes. He graduated from Central High School in 1976, and graduated college from ISUE in 1981 with a degree in business. He went on to work for Sights Denim in Henderson, Ky. A job in which he took much pride. He was a loving Father, brother, uncle and Poppy to his grandkids. He will be remembered for his silly sense of humor (King of the dad jokes), always trying to pull a prank or make you look at something that wasn’t there then saying, “Ha! Made ya look!”. He enjoyed NASCAR, playing backgammon while watching the St. Louis Cardinals or Kentucky Wildcats play on tv with his family, he liked to watch the Voice and loved listening to classic rock music. He would even pick up a guitar and play on occasion. In his youth, he was a star athlete, excelling in baseball and track. He might be remembered for his 1970 Boss 302 Mustang in olive green that he loved to show off. Jeff lived his life to make other people happy. He was kind, loving and devoted to his family. He would do anything for those he loved and he will be sorely missed. He was greeted in heaven by his parents and grandparents as well as his former wife, Doris.
