Jerry Thurston Hudnall

"My name's Hudnall, I guess you know yours."

Jerry Thurston Hudnall, 70, of Henderson, was born on March 3, 1953. He went to be with Jesus on Thursday, March 9, 2023, with loved ones by his side.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Euvie Hudnall and grandson, Ryan "Bubby" Watson.

He is survived by the love of his life, Mary Hudnall; three children, Jennifer "JJ" Crowley (Chris), Shelly Vaught (Eddie), and Jeremy Hudnall (Ruby); grandchildren, Tommy Wood, Holly Qualls, Jessica Watson, Lacey Payne, Allison Keown (Nick), Aaron Crowley, Maranda Eisner (Joe), Candice Beresford, Mark "Logan" Payne, and Clifford Jerry "C.J." Hudnall; one sister, Phyllis Mullen; several great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

To know Jerry was to love him. To his grandkids and many other children, he was known as Papaw Jerry.

He worked most of his life on farms and driving a semi. In his free time, he loved to mow his yard (for fun) and when his yard was too short to mow, he would mow the neighbors' yards. He loved sweet tea, playing cards, and watching western movies.

You know he loved you if you had your own personal nickname given to you by him. He was hardworking, loving, and never met a stranger. He would give anyone the shirt off his back in a time of need. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 11 at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson with Eddie Vaught officiating.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, March 11 from 10 a.m. until service time.

Jerry will be laid to rest in Smith Mill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Aaron Crowley, Eddie Vaught, Holly Qualls, Mark Payne, Brad Mullen, and Allison Keown.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Ella Qualls and Clifford Jerry “C.J.” Hudnall.
