Jerry Ray Nelson

Jerry Ray Nelson, 73 of Bluff City passed away September 21, 2017 at his residence under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice.He was born July 20, 1944 in Nortonville, KY to William “Red” Lloyd and Jewell (Forehand) Nelson.  He was an U. S. Army Veteran.He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother; Wesley “Wacky” Nelson.Jerry is survived by his wife of 49 ½ years; Carolyn Nelson, 2 children; Jana Gibson and her husband Steve and Joseph Ray Nelson both of Bluff City, 4 sisters; Betty Gunterman, Donna Ellis, Judy Baize and Angie Miller, 5 brothers; Emmitt Nelson, William Terrell Nelson, Roger Nelson, David Nelson and Ronald “Tookie” Nelson, 5 grandchildren; Kera, Kyle, Kole, Kaitlin, Madison, 1 great grandchild; Kenley, several nieces and nephews.Services will be 12:00 PM, Monday, September 25, 2017 at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson.  Brother Mike Neal will officiate.  Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be 2:00 PM-6:00 PM, Sunday and 10:00 AM until service time, Monday at the funeral home.Pallbearers will be Jon Nelson, Joe Goodwin, Chis Nelson, Brandon Miller, Scott Hetsley and Matthew Nelson.Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Anthony’s Hospice.Online condolences may be made at www.tomblinsonfuneralhome.com
