Jerry Edward Norvell

Jerry Edward Norvell, 80, of Poole, KY, passed away peacefully at 7:37 PM, May 25, 2024, at Lucy Smith King Care Center surrounded by family.

Jerry was born in Webster County on January 7, 1944, to the late Raymond and Lyda Fulcher Norvell.

Jerry graduated from Sebree High School in the class of 1961. He was a US Army Veteran serving at Fort Knox, KY, Addison, IL Nike Hercules Missile Complex, and Stuttgart, Germany. He was a member of the Poole Missionary Baptist Church. He was a Bailey-Onton Masonic Lodge 538 member and Scottish Rite of Madisonville. Jerry was a past Master of Poole Masonic Lodge 604. He loved hunting, fishing, and being on the family farm. Jerry was passionate about the oil industry, especially the drilling process and formations involved. He worked at Whirlpool, and Halliburton, was owner-operator of Norvell Trucking and retired from Wright’s Trucking Co. of Clay, KY.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his sister, Mildred (Bill) Wood, and brother, John (Judy) Norvell.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Patricia Culver Norvell; two daughters, Audrey (Randy) Poston of Poole, KY, Cassidy (Dale) Thompson of Newburgh, IN; three granddaughters, Victoria (Michael) Slaughter of Orange Park, FL, Kathryn Poston, and Olivia Poston of Poole, KY.

Memorial services will be on Monday, May 27, 2024, 4:00 PM at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson, KY with Randy Poston officiating. Visitation will begin at 2:00 PM until service time.

Memorial contributions can be made to St. Anthony's Hospice in Jerry's name.
