Jerry W. Sowles, 75 of Henderson passed away 2:40 PM Monday May 2, 2011 at the Lucy Smith King Care Center. He was born December 8, 1935 Ft. Wayne, IN. He was an avid fisherman,attended the United Church of the Nazarene and was a retired welder from US Steel.He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary Kathryn (Grant) Sowles and daughter Diane Kathryn Sowles. He is survived by sister-in-law and brother-in-law Leo and Charlteain Wilson of Smith Mills Nephew and wife Arnold and Sheila Wilson of Smith Mills Great nieces and nephews Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday May 5 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Rev. Keith Griffin and Rev. Arnie Wilson will officiate. Burial will be in Smith Mills Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Wednesday May 4 and 10AM-2:00 PM Thursday May 5 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Pallbearers will be Arnold Wilson, Jason Crowe, Carl Buckman, Gene Powell, Ed Parry and Robbie Wilson.
