Jessie Collier

Jessie Collier, 95 of Henderson passed away Tuesday February 13, 2024 at St. Anthony’s Hospice Lucy Smith King Care Center.

He was born in Henderson on August 5, 1928 to the late John and Abby (Tyler) Collier.

Jessie retired from Swift and Co. in Evansville where he was a manager of the loading docks. Jessie was a US Army Veteran. He attended Faith Christian Church, enjoyed gardening, rebuilding car motors but most of all Jessie loved his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Betty Jo Collier, siblings Anna Lee Majors, Travis Shreve, Katherine Shiftly, Dean Sosa, Eugene Collier and James Collier.

Survivors include four children Lisa Oliver (David), Vicki Wurth (Martin), Jesse “Tim” Collier (Betty), Anthony “Tony” Williams (Hallie); one sister Pansy Yates; 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday February 17, 2024 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel with Bro. Aaron Littrell officiating.

Visitation will be Saturday 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Cash Creek Cemetery with military rites conducted by the American Legion Worsham Post 40 Honor Guard.

Pallbearers will be Zack Pearson, Jared Williams, Suede Littrell, Daniel Stapleton, Blaze Littrell and Dustin Huffman.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Anthony’s Hospice.
