Jessie Gene Pinkston, 78 of Henderson passed away 10:25 PM, November 19, 2013 at his residence under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice. He was born October 19, 1935 in Mclean County to Jessie James Pinkston and Melba Jane (Dockery) Pinkston. He had been a mail carrier, a warehouse manager for RC Cola in Evansville, he also had a route for Lance Company, bus driver for Henderson Co. Schools. He was a member of Zion Baptist Church. Gene was a former deacon and music director at Advance Baptist Church in Baskett.. He and his wife Louise sang in Southern Gospel Quartet for many years. He was an avid bowler, golfer, and fast and slow pitch softball player. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Barbara Louise Brown Pinkston (March 26, 2013) He is survived by Bryan Pinkston of Evansville Brad Pinkston and his wife Celina of Zion Matt Pinkston of Lewisport, KY 5 grandchildren: Rachel Williams, Hannah Pinkston, Ryne Pinkston, Neil Pinkston and Jace Pinkston. 2 sisters: Martine Tillerson of Hebbardsville Jenoria Collier of Nashville, TN 1 brother: Lowell Pinkston of Merrillville, TN Nieces and newphews Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Brother Mark Galloway will officiate. Burial will be in Baskett Cemetery. Friends may call Friday after 2:00 PM and Saturday 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
