Jimmie A. Davis

Jimmie A. Davis, 68 of Henderson, went to be with his Lord at 8:15 AM August 26, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and New Beginnings Church. He was a Navy Veteran and was retired from Accuride and co-owner of Kenny’s Auto Service. Jimmie was an avid UK Basketball and Nascar fan and he loved to attend auctions. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather and an outstanding provider for his family. He was preceded in death by his parents Ernest Davis and Charlotte Allen. Survivors include his wife of 13 years Malinda (Lingerfelt) Davis 3 sons: Dr. Jeff Davis and wife Dennah of Newport, TN Kenny Meadors and his wife Nikki of Henderson Johnny Meadors and his wife of Suzanne of Sturgis 1 Daughter: Jamie Davis Warren and husband Jeremy of Franklin, KY 1 Sister: Charlene Oberst and husband David of Owensboro 1 Brother: Larry Coy of Owensboro 10 granddaughters and 4 grandsons He had special care given by family members Jacqueline Floyd and Sue and Rocky Gill Services will be 2:00 PM Friday August 30, 2013 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Bro. Dan Curry and Bro. Ernie “Deacon” Lingerfelt will officiate. Burial will be in Corydon Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday 5-8PM and Friday 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Mike Meadors, Brandon Lingerfelt, Kalon Kurtz, Dillion Eaden, Joey Floyd, Jaymes Devine and Rocky Gill. Honorary Pallbearers will be Zachary Meadors, Isaac Warren and Kaiden Meadors. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Anthony’s Hospice or New Hope Animal Rescue.
