Jimmie Lee Russell, 78 of Poole, KY passed away at 8:50 AM Tuesday September 8, 2009 at Methodist Hospital in Henderson, KY He was born March 4, 1931 in Webster County, KY to the late William Alvie and Edna (Brown) Russell. He was a member of the Shady Grove General Baptist Church in Poole. He owned and operated Russell’s Garage in Poole for several years and was the Henderson County Water Commissioner for over 30 years. He was also a KY Colonel. He is survived by his wife Mildred (Lynn) Russell of Poole. 3 sons; Jimmie (Jr.) Russell of West Palm Beach, FL Larry Russell of Poole, KY Kenny Russell of Winston-Salem, NC 3 sisters; Dorothy DeGraffenreid of Evansville, IN Anna Lorene Cole of Providence, KY Linda Link of Dixon, KY 1 brother; Marvin Russell of Bowling Green, KY 6 Grandchildren 6 Great Grandchildren Several Nieces and Nephews Services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday September 11, 2009 at the Tomblinson Funeral Home Sebree Chapel in Sebree, KY Bro. Dean Esarey and Bro. Bob Fulcher will officiate. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery in Poole, KY Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 Until 8:00 and Friday 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shady Grove General Baptist Church Building Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Greg Russell, Tad Russell, Jeff Russell, Jason Russell, Tommy Thornberry and David DeGraffenreid.
