Jimmy Dale Wingfield, 77, of Henderson, passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at home. He was born in Hebbardsville, Ky. on July 22, 1944 to the late Claude Van and Norma Lee (McCartney) Wingfield. Jimmy was CEO and part owner of RTW and owner of A&W Pay Lake. He has worked for the City of Henderson and was a laborer for Local 561 over 50 years. In addition, he was an EMT and worked for Maynard Glunt of Benton-Glunt Funeral Home as a funeral director’s assistant and ambulance driver. Jimmy was a member of Eastview Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, bailing hay, and watching UK ball games. He often ate breakfast at Eastgate and lunch at Hebbardsville with his friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Claude Wingfield. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Emma Wingfield; four children, Marlin Virgin of North Carolina, Wade Wingfield of Henderson, Jeffery Wingfield of Henderson, Tracey Lawrence (James) of South Carolina; ten grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and sisters, Beverly Whitmore (Roger) of Henderson and Betty Willingham (Ray) of Henderson. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, February 25 at Eastview Baptist Church with Bro. Ken Foster officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at the church, Thursday, February 24 from 5-8 p.m. and Friday, February 25 from 1 p.m. until funeral time. Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson is entrusted with arrangements. Pallbearers will be Jeff Wingfield, Jonathon Wingfield, Bradley Lawrence, Kevin Gross, Aaron Wingfield, Judson Phelps, Damion Hall, and Adam Dillback. Honorary pallbearers will be Otis Walker, Billy Fryer, Clarence LaRue, and Jim Mason. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Eastview Baptist Church in Henderson.
