Jo Nell (Oldham) Jackson 89 of Earlington, KY passed away at 10:10 am Tuesday October 16th 2012 at her residence. She was born in Hopkins County, KY on May 10th 1923 to the late Eldred Garfield and Lela Mae (Trover) Oldham. She was a homemaker, charter member of the Earlington First Christian Church where she was organist since1938 and had been organist for Reid-Walters Funeral Home for over 20 years and a member of the Hopkins County Historical Society. Jo Nell was a cheerleader at Earlington High School where she graduated in 1941. She had also worked at West KY drug store in Earlington as a soda fountain clerk. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Roscoe E. Jackson in 1975, who was co-owner of E.W. Jackson Insurance Company in Madisonville. Two sisters: Louise Phelan Waterman, and LaRue O. Morgan. She is survived by one daughter: Martha Jackson Crowe and husband David of Earlington KY. Two Granddaughters Mindy Crowe Cutler and her husband Jerry of Newark, DE Joley Crowe Larkin and husband Matt of Liberty Hill, TX Five Great grandchildren: Hannah Cutler, Mia Cutler, Morgan Cutler, Skylar Larkin, and David Matthew Larkin. One Niece, Dr. Chris and Beth Alms and their children of Owensboro KY and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday October 19th at Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington KY, Rev. Kim Hudson and Rev. George Brooks will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Earlington. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 till 8:00 and Friday 9:00 am till service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers: Ken Stevens, Nathan Rogers, Hugh Wayne Offutt, David Lamb. Tommy Allen, Spencer Brewer. The family would like to express grateful appreciation to Green River Hospice and her wonderful caretakers.
