Joella Green Hancock

Joella Green Hancock Joella Hancock 78 years old of Nortonville, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2013 at NHC Healthcare of Madisonville. She was born August 25, 1935 to the late Verner Green and Elsie Prince Green. She was a retired house keeping employee for the Mortons Gap Truck Stop. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church of Mortons Gap, Ky. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Judy Gossett and one grandson, Richard Allen Hancock, Jr. She is survived by three sons, James “Frank” Hancock, Jr. of Rockport Indiana, Richard Hancock of Mortons Gap, Ky. and Carl Hancock of Rincon Ga. One sister Sarah Lou Kelley of Mortons Gap, Ky. and one brother James Thomas Green of Salem, Ky. Ten grandchildren and several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be Thursday Oct. 3, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Second Baptist Church Mortons Gap, Ky. with Brother Guy Gibbons officiating. Burial in Salem Cemetery, Mortons Gap, Ky. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday October 2nd at Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington, Ky. and from 10:00 AM until 1:30 PM at Reid-Walters on Thursday prior to Funeral time.
