John A. Flynn

John A. Flynn, 79 of Henderson passed away Thursday October 27, 2022, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital.

John was born in Evansville Indiana to the late Jack and Mildred (Behame) Flynn.

He was an Airforce veteran and was a member of the Ohio Valley Cruisers and President of the Saddle Club.

John retired after 26 years with Big Rivers Electric as a Senior Meter reader. He had also was worked for Nasa, a Diesel mechanic in Florida working on the big yachts and a diesel mechanic for PBS.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Thom Flynn.

John is survived by his wife of 45 years Karen (Hust) Flynn; his children John T. Flynn (Leslie), David Flynn (Mary Jo), Kathy Hess (David), Patrick P. Flynn (Kelly), Clark A. Nelson (Leslie) and Bridgett Evans (Randy); brothers Patrick Flynn (Betsie) and Mike Flynn (Marcia) and 20 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday November 1, 2022, at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson with Pastor Mark Carter officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens Where American Legion Post #40 will conduct military honors.

Visitation will be 5:00 PM-8:00 PM Monday October 31, 2022, at the funeral home and on Tuesday 10:00 AM until service time.

Pallbearers will be Nolan Evans, John P. Garrigus, Leland Evans, David Hess, Grant Utley, Ethan Flynn, and Austin Flynn.
