John Joseph Heltsley John Joseph Heltsley age 66 of Earlington passed away at 7:28 p.m. Thursday 09-06-12 at the Regional Medical Center in Madisonville. He was born October 30, 1945.to Edward Joseph and Gladys Byrum Helstley. He was a member of the Nebo Baptist Church and worked for Island Creek Coal Company Providence #1 mine and was a nurse at Trover Clinic and the Regional Medical Center. He was also a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity at Murray State University, a member of the Fraternal Order of the Elks and served in the U.S. Air Force in Vietnam. He was preceded in death by his parents; Edward Joseph Heltsley in 2011and Gladys Byrum Heltsley in 2012. He is survived by a; sister Sue Fraser of Hagerhill, Kentucky one nephew Derek Fraser and his wife Elizabeth of Green Groves Springs FL and his children Julia and Benjamen Fraser, Randa Lynn of Nebo, four aunts Anna Laura Todd of Earlington, Betty Groves of White Plains, Carmen Bishop of Madisonville, Gina Heltsley of White Plains and several cousins. His funeral service Monday Sept. 10, at 11:00 AM at Reid-Walters Funeral Home with burial in Oakwood Cemetery in Earlington with military honors by the Hopkins County Honor Guard. His visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday Sept. 9th at the Reid-Walters Funeral Home and from 9:00 a.m. until the service time on Monday.
