John Russell Jeffery

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of John Russell Jeffrey, aged 79, of Henderson, who left this world on June 2, 2026, at Deaconess Gateway. John was born to the late John Jeffrey, Sr. and Marguerite Jeffrey on January 11, 1947, and led a life dedicated to service, family, and faith.

A proud veteran, John served in the United States Air Force, where he had the opportunity to travel to Thailand, Greenland, and Germany, experiences that contributed to his unwavering sense of duty and commitment to his country. After his service, he continued to be an active member of his community, attending the Christian Life Center, where he found solace and fellowship.

John was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Ellen (Ellie) Jeffrey, and his legacy thrives through his cherished children: Richard West (Cat), Dena Lacer, Bradley Orr, Delbert Orr (Tawnya), and Johnnie Orr (Lorissa). He is also survived by his two brothers, Ronald (Dee) and Robert Jeffrey, along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, each holding a special place in his heart.

A memorial service to celebrate John's life will take place on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 2 PM at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson, with Pastor Mark Carter officiating. Friends and family will have the opportunity to pay their respects during visitation from 10:00 AM until service time that same day at the funeral home. Military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Worsham Post #40 Burial Detail and Honor Guard.

As we gather to remember John Russell Jeffrey, we will reflect on a man who lived with integrity, love, and a commitment to his family and country. His spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
