John "Johnny" Calip Lapradd

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John “Johnny” Calip LaPradd, 54, of Cairo, who passed away on October 6, 2024. Johnny was born on August 15, 1970, in Henderson, Kentucky, to Randall and Teresa LaPradd.

He was a member of Haven Pentecostal Church. John was a man of many passions. He cherished the tranquility of fishing, loved the thrill of tinkering with cars, and enjoyed the freedom of riding his motorcycle. Above all, he treasured the moments spent with his family, creating lasting memories that will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Teresa LaPradd; his grandmother, Betty Jean Clement; as well as several aunts and uncles who held a special place in his heart.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Penny LaPradd; father, Randall LaPradd (Lisa Duncan); his children, Jennifer Sutton (Josh), Lisa Sutton, Ricky Sutton (Haley), John Bradley LaPradd (Kayla), Harmony LaPradd, Shelby Skaggs and Emily Skaggs; grandfather, Clete Clement (Sarah); grandchildren, Layla LaPradd, Berkley LaPradd, Conner Neaville, Adonis Thomas, Calip Buchanan, Tyler Buchanan, Jasmine Sutton, Bella Sutton, Isiah Sutton and Paxton Sutton.

Funeral services will be 12:00 PM, Thursday, October 10, 2024, at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel.

Visitation will be 4:00 PM-8:00 PM, Wednesday and 10:00 AM until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Corydon Cemetery with Pastor Andrew Wagoner officiating.

Pallbearers will be John Bradley LaPradd, Ricky Sutton, Jennifer Sutton, Josh Buchanan, Michael Wayne Clement and Doug Crook..

Honorary Pallbearers will be Berkley LaPradd and Calip Buchanan.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to Johnny LaPradd Memorial at Field and Main.

Johnny will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
