John M. Leinenbach

John Leinenbach, 70, of Henderson, KY, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2022, surrounded by loved ones.

John was born on January 8, 1952, to the late Joseph Edwin and Dorothy Ellen Leinenbach in Henderson, KY. John was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church and played Varsity basketball for Holy Name during high school and later became a coach in his free time.

John met his wife of 45 years Debora at The Dariette while he was delivering ice cream for The Henderson Creamery, and she was a waitress working on her teacher’s degree.

John was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather to his four grandchildren: Sylus Edwin, Arlo James, Eli Wilson and Wyatt. John and Debbie were enjoying retirement life spending summers in an RV, visiting with their growing family, toying with cars, playing Pool and Ping Pong.

He is survived by his wife, Debora Leinenbach and four children, Sarah Lynn, Brian Joseph, Elizabeth Anne and Catherine Ellen and their families. John is survived by his four siblings Joseph, Paul, Anne and Jayne. His tenacious wit and big heart will be missed by many.

A memorial visitation will be held at Tomblinson Funeral Home, Henderson Chapel, Friday, December 30, 2022, 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. Friends and family are welcome.
