John Franklin Sandefur

John Franklin Sandefur, 73, of Slaughters passed away Monday June 13, 2011 at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah. He was born January 22, 1938 in Hopkins County to the late Robert Gordon and Mary Frances (Collins) Sandefur. He was a member of Onton United Methodist Church, retired from Whirlpool and an Army Veteran (paratrooper). He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by 2 sisters: Shirley Coombs of Owensboro, KY and Julia Adams of Hanson, Ky. 3 nephews: Robert Gordon Sandefur, Michael Adams, and Jason Adams, and 2 nieces: Danielle Heriges, and Nichole Pottgiesser. There will be no visitation or services. Burial will be at a later date in Westlawn Cemetery in Hanson. Tomblinson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
