John L. Wilson, 67 of Slaughters passed away on Friday, February 26, 2016 at The Heartford House in Owensboro. He was born on August 10, 1948 in Onton, Kentucky to the late Roy Louis Wilson and Fannie Thomas Wilson. He was retired from Island Creek Coal Mine and from Bremner Foods, Inc. He was a member of Souls Harbor Baptist Church. He is survived by: Wife: Judy (Piercefield) Wilson of Slaughters Sons: David Dewayne (Lea) Wilson of Slaughters John Pascal (Karen) Wilson of Jacksonville, Florida Chad Ezra (Tiffany) Wilson of Lexington Sisters: Betty (Rube) Wright of Onton Sue (Harold) Melton of Onton Brother: Timmy (Vickie) Wilson of Onton 8 grandchildren Adam, Josh, Mallory, Macie, Makenna, Maya, Reese, Brock 1 great-grandchild Bentley and one on the way Services will be on Monday, February 29, 2016 at 2:00 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Slaughters-Hanson Chapel. Brother Bill Crabtree will officiate. Burial will be in Onton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 until service time on Monday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Gish, Darrell Melton, Garrick Melton, Shon Wright, Travis Wilson, and Bobby Gish. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Mounts and Carrol Perdue.
