Johnnie Faye Esche

Johnnie Fay Esche, 89, of Henderson, Kentucky passed away May 11, 2019 at Lucy Smith King Care Center. She was a member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church, was an active member of Sisters in Christ and was very strong in her faith. Johnnie was a lifelong homemaker with her husband as they farmed in Warrick County Indiana and Henderson, Kentucky. Her hobbies were knitting, quilting, crocheting, reading and enjoying her grandchildren. Johnnie was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, James Paul Esche; her parents John and Leora Pfingston; 4 infant siblings, Frederick, Conrad, Mary and Mildred. She is survived by her children Thomas Esche and wife Jane, Sue Ellen Clements and husband Hansen “Butch”, Jennifer Todd and husband Steve, Jane Catlett and husband John, Jo Ann Overton and husband Steve; 14 grandchildren, John Esche, Will Esche, Drew Clements, Hunter Clements, Josh Todd, Jacob Todd, Joseph Todd, Sarah Todd Simmons, Jamie Catlett Hargiss, Julie Catlett Holland, Jonathan Catlett, Jeff Overton, Wes Overton and Katie Overton Esser; 28 Great Grandchildren. Services will be 10:00 AM Friday May 17, 2019 at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson Kentucky. Pastor Mike Snyder and Pastor Amy Call will be officiating. Visitation will be 4:00 PM- 8:00 PM Thursday May 16, 2019 and on Friday 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Expressions of sympathy can be made to St. Anthony’s Hospice, Chapel Hill United Methodist Church or Veterans Center in Hanson Kentucky.
