Johnny R. Bacon

Johnny R. Bacon, 81 of the Onton Community near Slaughters, KY passed away Saturday November 18, 2023 at the Linda E. White Hospice Center in Evansville, IN.

He was born in Evansville, IN on January 8, 1942 to the late Manuel John and Carrie Jane (Davis) Bacon.

Johnny was a retired member of the Iron Workers Local 103, Evansville, IN, a member of Slaughters Baptist Church and a US Navy Vietnam era veteran. He loved his family with all his heart. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Steven Bacon and brothers Terry and Randy Bacon.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Charlotte (Nance) Bacon, Daughter; Aimee (Jim) Harnage of Clarksville, TN, daughter-in-law Lorna Bacon of Slaughters, KY, grandchildren; Shyanne, Austin and Nikki, sisters; Rhonda (Terry) Love and Janet Katz both of Evansville, IN, brother; Denny (Elaine) Bacon of Richmond, KY, sister in law Sue Bacon of Mt. Vernon, IN. Nieces and Nephews also survive.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday November 22, 2023 at Onton Cemetery in Onton, KY.

Brother Brad Tucker will officiate.

There will be no visitation prior to the graveside service.

Burial will be in Onton Cemetery in Onton, KY.

Tomblinson Funeral Home Sebree Chapel is handling arrangements.
