Jonna Lee (Padgett) Langston, 64, of Henderson, Kentucky (Henderson County), surrounded by her family, went peacefully to be with her Lord Jesus Christ at 11:24 AM CDT on July 28, 2025, at the Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson, KY. Jonna was born on September 1, 1960, in Linton, Indiana (Greene County).
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Bobby Langston; her daughter Heather (Wayne) Royster; her son Michael (Amanda) Langston, all of Henderson, Kentucky; sister Penny L. Padgett of New Harmony, Indiana (Posey County) and stepsister Linda (Jay) Eslinger of Dugger. She is also survived by her five grandchildren: Malin, Hadlee, Easton, Kris, and Devan; two great-grandchildren: Kingston, and Londyn; four nephews: Matthew L. Henry (Nicole) of Noblesville, Indiana, Christopher D. Henry (Candace) of Chrisney, Indiana, James S. Henry of Odon, Indiana, and Zack Ball of Henderson, Kentucky; two nieces, Erin (Bryan) Webb of Henderson, Kentucky, and Jaylee (Nick) Courtney of Sturgis, Kentucky; and several great-nephews and nieces.
Jonna was preceded in death by her grandparents Diskle Davis and Bernice Lee (Crook) Wilson of Providence, Kentucky, and Rocky and Marjorie Padgett of Linton, Indiana; her father John (Deloris) Padgett of Linton, Indiana; her mother Sharon Lee Wilson Padgett of Henderson, Kentucky; and her sisters Melba Lee Henry (Mike, living) of Odon, Indiana, Sara Loucille Artman(Lance, living) of Clay, Kentucky and stepbrother Ray (Channon, living) Lockhart of Linton, Indiana.
Jonna cherished her family and loved watching them play sports and win awards. She had a gentle spirit, loved animals, and was a wonderful cook. Jonna retired from home-health care nursing and was known for her God-given gift of helping family members and clients peacefully pass to the other side. She encouraged righteousness and truth in those around her. Jonna grew up along the White River in Newberry, Indiana, graduated from LintonStockton High School on May 28, 1978, and later relocated to Kentucky to raise her family.
