Joyce Ann Abell

Joyce Ann Abell, 83, of Henderson, Ky, passed away peacefully Friday, January 26, 2024, at Redbank’s Nursing Home, under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice.

Joyce was born in Denver, Colorado to the late Michael Malaney and Oreta (Courier) Malaney.

In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her late husband Raymond “Butch” Abell and brothers Michael and Roger Malaney.

Joyce had joy for life and an unwavering love for the lord. She spent her free time singing, drawing (especially birds), and shopping with her daughter and granddaughters. She always had a smile on her face and never met a stranger.

Joyce is survived by her daughter Melissa Postlewaite (Derick) of Owensboro, KY, son Devon Douglas (Linda) of Tilden, KY. She has one brother Donnie Malaney (Barbara) of Mobile, AL and sister in law’s Virginia and Sharon Malaney both of Quincy, IL. Joyce had 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren who she loved and adored. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Services will be Saturday February 3, 2024, at 2pm at Tomblinson’s Funeral Home, Henderson Chapel. Family and friends may visit from 10 am until time service time.

Pallbearers will be Thane LaCaze, Taylor Douglas, Blake Tapp, Drew Tapp, Josh Decker, Hunter Decker and honorary pallbearer Owen Decker.
