Joyce Marie Gower

Joyce Marie (Blake) Gower, 82, of Henderson, passed away Saturday, January 29, 2022, at home. She was born in Henderson on January 15, 1940, to the late Ernest and Anna Belle Blake. Joyce was a bus driver for Henderson County Schools. She enjoyed working word puzzle books and playing cards and board games. Family was important to Joyce, and she loved having sleepovers with her great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Dean Gower; daughter, Cathy Brown Poole; sons, Randy Gower, Ricky Gower, and Jeff Gower; and granddaughter, Laura Poole. She is survived by her children, Susan Chandler (Joe) of Corydon, KY and Steve Gower of Colorado; 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; siblings, Louis Blake (Diane) of Louisville, Barbara Johnson (Jack) of Louisville, Shirley Pike (Steve) of Morganfield, Tina Oliver of Morganfield, and Ronnie Blake (Brenda) of Dixon; several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, February 10, 2022, at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Misty Colvin and Ronnie Blake officiating. Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson is entrusted with arrangements.
