Juanita Chaney

Juanita Chaney, 84, of Reed, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at Redbanks Nursing Home under the compassionate care of St. Anthony’s Hospice.

Born in Daviess County to the late Clint and Minnie (Rhodes) McDonald, Juanita lived a full and loving life. She was a devoted member of Reed Community Church and will be remembered for her kind heart and adventurous spirit.

Juanita had a deep love for animals and found great joy in gardening. She was passionate about travel and embraced opportunities to explore the world, visiting destinations such as Africa and Germany. Above all, her greatest happiness came from spending time with her beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandson cherishing every moment shared with them.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her devoted husband, David Chaney Sr.; her son, Tim Chaney; and several brothers and sisters.

Juanita is survived by her son, David Chaney (Lori); three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson. Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:30 AM until the time of service.

A private burial will be held at a later date at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
