Judith Glutting Hibbs

Judith Glutting Hibbs, 80, of Henderson, KY passed away peacefully Monday, April 2, 2018 at her home.  Judith was born April 21, 1937 to the late Andrew and Mary Elizabeth Mather Glutting in Hamilton County, Ohio.  Judy was very active in Henderson’s First Baptist Church.  She served over 45 years teaching adult Sunday School classes with her husband, helping on Pastor Search Committees, Women’s Missionary Union, Homebound and Visitation Committees, as well as local Jail Ministries, Red Cross, Christian Women’s Club, and The Answer Center. In addition to her parents, Judith was preceded in death by two sisters, Elizabeth Lyons, Katherine Glutting and one son-in-law, Chris Lord. She is survived by her husband of sixty years, Dr. Russell Hibbs of Henderson, KY; one son, Russell Hibbs IV and wife April of Henderson, KY; three daughters, Diana Lord of Henderson, KY, Susan Hibbs and husband David Magruder of Neenah, WI, Rebecca Adkins and husband Butch of Lexington, KY; eight grandchildren, Andrew Lord and wife Kaitlin, Jane, Madeline, Crystal, Andy and Alex Hibbs-Magruder, Taylor and Hannah Adkins; two  great  grandchildren, Ainsley and Anniston Lord; brother-in-law, Richard A, Lyons and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be Saturday, April 14, 2018, 12:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Henderson, KY.  Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until the service hour. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to First Baptist Church, 307 Center Street, Henderson, KY 42420 or St. Anthony's Hospice, 2410 South Green St., Henderson, KY 42420.
