Judith Ann Pfeffer, 82, of Henderson, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2024, at Redbanks Nursing Home. Born on May 7, 1942, in Henderson, Judith was the beloved daughter of the late Silas and Irene (Bush) Overton.
In her early years, Judith developed a love for sports, particularly softball and tennis. She began her professional career as a hairdresser and later pursued her passion for helping others, becoming a Registered Nurse. Throughout her life, Judith cherished her time with family, a source of great joy and fulfillment for her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Kenny Overton and Vickie Overton.
Judith leaves behind a loving and devoted family, including her daughters Kim Chavira (Steve) and Kelly Pfeffer; her siblings Janice Brown, Wayne Overton (Rita), and Jerry Overton (Lou Ann). She was a proud grandmother to Zachary Chavira, Myles Chavira, and Cassidy Chavira, and a cherished great-grandmother to Crew Chavira and Estie Chavira.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson, with Chaplain Tim Shockley officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until the time of service at the funeral home.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff of Redbanks Nursing Home, with special thanks to Karen Bruce, Will Cobb, Jason Corbett, Whitney Willett, and the hospice team for their compassionate care.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Judith’s honor to St. Anthony’s Hospice.
Judith will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
