Judy Rae Varble

Judy Rae Varble, 71 of Reed, KY passed away on September 16, 2016 at Redbanks Nursing Center in Henderson, KY. She was born in Reed, KY on April 19, 1945 to the late Robert Elder Lacer and Mary Driskill Lacer. She was a member of Mt. Zion General Baptist Church and was a retired certified nursing assistant for Redbanks Nursing Center. She loved her children and grandchildren and was an avid gardener. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Varble in 1994 and her son Jason Varble in 2014. She is survived by 5 children; Gardner Varble of Paducah, KY, Natalie and husband Tracy Durbin of Henderson, KY, Scott Varble of Reed, KY, and Troy Varble and Kelly Varble both of Robards, KY, 3 sisters; Peggy Christison of Grapevine, TX, and Mary Sherman and Darlene Smithhart both of Henderson, KY, 3 brothers; Robert “Buck” Lacer of Spottsville, KY, Darrell Lacer of Niagara, KY, and Dwayne Lacer of Las Vegas, NV, her aunt; Sue Bugg of Spottsville, KY, 16 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson at 11:00 AM with Reverend Brian Haire officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Reed, KY. Visitation will be on Monday from 4:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home and on Tuesday from 9:30 AM until service time.
