Julia Farley Billings

Julia Zehner Farley Billings of Henderson was called home to her heavenly Father on August 28, 2025 at Redbanks Nursing Facility under Hospice care. She was lovingly known to her family and friends as Ma Judy. She was born to Adam and Addie Zehner on May 27, 1937 and welcomed by siblings Addie Mae, Conrad, John, and William. Julia was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, first husband of 45 years Joe Earl Farley (2001), son Franklin Earl Farley (2013), and grandson Weston Lee Farley (1995).

Julia was a 1954 graduate of Spottsville High School and attended Murray State University. She was employed as a Henderson deputy county clerk for 13 years and retired as financial secretary from Zion Baptist Church in 2005 after 36 years.

Her service included many areas at Zion Baptist Church, 4-H leader, and various local and district Farm Bureau leadership positions.

Julia is survived by her husband of 20 years, Charles F. Billings; two sons, Byron Farley (Sherri) of Alexandria, Kentucky and Jon Farley (Sandra) of Robards Kentucky; daughter-in-law, Tina Farley of Henderson; two step-daughters, Susan Cruse (Steve) of Henderson and LuAnn Nolan (Bill) of Alabama; six grandchildren, Adam Farley (Janci) of Henderson, Ryan Farley (Jesse) of Versailles, J.T Farley (McKenzie) of Boonville, Megan Welch (Tim) of Highland Heights, Brennan Farley of Santa Cruz CA , and Addie Dickson (Gus) of Longwood, Fl; three step-granddaughters, Rachel Williams (David) of Henderson, Hannah Pinkston of Henderson, and Savannah Cruse of Henderson; 11 great-grandchildren, Hannah Farley, Maci Farley, Truman Farley, Porter Farley, Virginia Farley, EmyLou Dickson, Annabelle Dickson, Hayden Welch, Adora Hendricks-Farley, Kixlee Farley, and Bootslee Farley ; nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Ma Judy’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 3rd at Zion Baptist Church. Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday, September 2nd from 5:30-8:00 pm and Wednesday from 9:00 am till service time.

Memorial contributions may be made to Zion Baptist Church or St. Anthony’s Hospice.
