June M. (Loechelt) Schneidewind

June M. (Loechelt) Schneidewind, 95, of Henderson, KY formerly Carpentersville, IL was welcomed into heaven by her Lord and Savior and her husband Tony at 12:30 pm February 14, 2022. Born May 6, 1926 to Paul and Mabel (Peters) Loechelt, she would eventually become sister to Doris and Paul. June was preceded in death by her husband Tony of 67 years in 2013, in addition to her parents and siblings. June was a long-time employee of Haeger Pottery, Dundee, IL. She also spent several years employed by Toastmaster. June served many years as a Henderson County Polling Volunteer where you could always find her with a smile, a crochet hook, and a bag of yarn. She was also well known for her elaborate beautiful Christmas decorations. June and Tony relocated to Henderson, KY in 1990 to be with their loving daughter and son-in-law Judith L. (Charlie) Greenwald, who both survive. June was blessed with 3 granddaughters and 6 great grandchildren. Shelly Lynn (Gary) Stover, Gary E. “Ges” Stover, III, Alexis Lynn (Michael) Lavender of Benton, KY, Jacksonville, FL and Benton, KY respectively. Kim (Ken) Sweet and Kendall IIII of Hampshire, IL and Andrea Redmond and her children also of IL. She is also survived by loving extended family members and 2 special nieces Kim and Denise. Upon their relocation, June and Tony became members of Trinity Lutheran Church where the church members became like family. In honor of her life, please comfort the family Friday February 18 at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson from 5-8 pm and join us again Saturday from 9-10 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Mark Moog officiating funeral services at 10 a.m. She will join Tony in burial at Fairmont Cemetery. We find it only fitting that June is reunited with her husband on Valentine’s Day. As their love is rekindled in heaven may it lessen our sadness on earth.
