Karen Elaine Cartwright 61, of Henderson, KY, passed away on September 14, 2017. She was born on August 14, 1956 to James Wesley and Agnes Charlotte Cartwright. Karen was loved by many. She always greeted with a smile, and was always there to help those in need. She was a waitress for many years and her customer’s loved her. Karen loved animals and would take in any stray cat. They were family to her. She was passionate about her animals. She loved her family, and adored her grandchildren. She was proud of them. Karen didn’t know a stranger. Her smile and sense of humor will be remembered by those who knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Kenny Cartwright; sister, Dianne Cartwright and son, Randall “Bubba” Vanover, Jr. Survivors include 2 daughters, Kerrie Vanover and Amanda “LuLu” Vanover both of Henderson; Sisters, Janice Wilke and Linda Sutton of Henderson and Mary Jewell Coney of Morganfield. 6 Grandchildren; Dillan Taylor, Corbin Belt, Allyson Williams, Kathryne Martinez-Vitales, Liland Martinez-Vitales, Kelcie Skaggs; 4 Great-Grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 7:00 PM Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 and Wednesday from 3:00 until service time at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be made to Henderson County Humane Society.
