Karen Denise Cox

Karen Denise (Whitledge) Cox, 70, of Henderson, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at home.

She was born in Henderson on November 12, 1953 to Kenneth R. Whitledge and Lillie J. (Duncan) Ferguson.

Karen was a homemaker and was a member of Victory Christian Church. She enjoyed fishing, quilting, sewing, and riding motorcycles. She had a great love for animals and had a knack for bringing others happiness, merely with her presence.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard Lee Cox; and brother, Dennis Keith Whitledge.

Survivors include her children, Kelly Osborne (Donald) and Kristy Cox (Scott Gish); her dad, Harold Frederick; siblings, Sheila Frederick Ruby (Kim), Buzz Frederick (Linda), Earl Wayne Frederick (Karen), Mary Ann Bridwell (Mike), Janice Burke (Rodney), Kenny Ray Whitledge, Bobby Whitledge, and Donna Whitledge; eight grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and one on the way; her furbaby, Bella; and grand furbabies.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, December 4 at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson with Pastor Jack Ross and Joe Whitledge officiating.

Visitation will be at the funeral home Monday, December 4 from 10 a.m. until funeral time.

Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Isaac Lee, Austin Gish, Lucas Osborne, Nick Osborne, Buzz Frederick, and Earl Wayne Frederick.
