Karen Renee Gettings

Karen “Renee” Gettings 75, of Evansville IN, formally Henderson KY passed away April 19, 2024.

Renee was born on March 6, 1949 to Jack and Lucille Tapp. She graduated from Henderson County High School.

Renee was a beautician for many years and loved making her clients look beautiful. Her favorite holiday was Christmas, she loved decorating and entertaining her family. She also enjoyed square dancing, traveling, shopping, homemaking, camping, and spending time with her family and friends. Her most prized possession were her grandchildren.

She was preceded by death by her husband Larry and her parents, Jack and Lucille Tapp.

She will be remembered by her loving Children; Shannon Cruz (Richard), Eric Shane (Rebecca); Brother, Jim Tapp (Terri); Grandchildren; Jade Boring, Trinidy Boring, and Eivin Gettings.

Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, April 24 from 2-6 pm at Tomlinson Funeral Home, Henderson Ky. Visitation will continue from 12-2pm on Thursday April 25 at the Funeral home where the Funeral Services will begin at 2pm.

Burial service will immediately follow at the Fairmont Cemetery.

A celebration of Renee’s life will be held at Hummingbird Hall immediately following the burial at 1040 Market Street, Henderson, KY 42420.
