Karl Creakman Bowles Karl Creakman Bowles age 81 of Madisonville passed away at 9:45 a.m. Monday 02-07-11 at his home. He was born February 17, 1930 in Earlington, KY to Karl Curtis and Ione Creakman Bowles. He was a member of the Suthards Missionary Baptist Church and served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War. He was a member of the UMWA and worked as a journeyman electrician for the IBEW of which he was a member. One of his pleasures was building birdhouses out of license plates and giving them to friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Ruth Curtis Bowles, his step-mother Minnie Bowles and his grandparents Dell and Effie Bowles, He is survived by his wife Nell W. Bowles of Madisonville, KY, four daughters Rebecca Ladd, Karla Dunbar and her husband Donnie, Paula Clayton and her husband Mark and Melanie Duff and her husband Dan all of Madisonville, his step-brother James Jones of Sacramento, KY, his step-sister Vicki Clouse of Calhoun, KY, his sister’s children Ione Kotis and Linda Katz, a dear cousin Elizabeth Grace of Henderson, KY, eight grandchildren Kane Baker and his wife Stephanie, Devin Ladd, Austin Dunbar, Keri Lynn Dunbar, Cylas Clayton, Kara Day Clayton, Karlee Duff and Anna Duff; six great-grandchildren, Zack Baker, Dylan Baker, Ashton McBride, Aidan Dunbar, Braksten Clayton, Kirah Wren Taylor and several nieces, nephews and cousins. His funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday 03-10-11 at Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington, with Bro. George Brooks officiating. His burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Earlington. His visitation will be 4:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday 03-09-11 at Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington and from 9:00 a.m. until the service time on Thursday. Pallbearers will be Zack Baker, Dylan Baker, Cylas Clayton, Austin Dunbar, Mark Clayton, Donnie Dunbar, Jeff Cobb and Dan Duff. Honorary pallbearers will be Kane Baker and Brian Ruffin.
