Kathy Ann Mumau

Kathy Ann Mumau, 62, of Henderson, KY, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, surrounded by loved ones. Kathy was born on January 30, 1960, to Nellie and the late James Pruitt of Henderson, KY.

Kathy met her husband Curtis Mumau 25 years ago on a blind date at their residence where they raised all her children.

She always welcomed anyone with open arms, regardless of who they were. She was a hardworking, selfless, and great grandmother who others looked up to with great respect and love. She was self-employed and owned a cleaning business for 30+ years for most of which was done at Shamrock Technologies where she considered all who worked there her second family. She enjoyed many hobbies, such as sewing, woodworking, painting, baking, gardening, and most of all planning family get-togethers.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Timothy Greenwell.

She is survived by her mother Nellie Pruitt (David Morris), and her husband, Curtis Mumau and five children, Melissa Sauer, Angela Cuellar, Beth Mattingly (David), Matthew Greenwell (Marco Lo) and Kolton Greenwell and their families. She is survived by her grandchildren, Kameron Sauer, Slade Cuellar, Sadie Sauer, Gage Cook, Kali Cook, Kannon Hays, Emma Cuellar, Brody Cuellar, Addison Mattingly, and Madelynn Mattingly. Her great grandchildren, Piper Sauer, and Timothy Sauer. Kathy is survived by her 4 siblings Judy Presley (Johnny), Becky Smith (Charlie), Robert Pruitt (Cordelia) and Nancy Daily (Phill). To the world, you were one person, but to all, who knew you, you meant the world.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Greenwell, Kolton Greenwell, Kameron Sauer, Slade Cuellar, Gage Cook, and Brody Cuellar.

A visitation will be held at Tomblinson Funeral Home, Henderson Chapel, Tuesday, January 3, 2023, 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday, January 4, 2023, from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. Friends and family are welcome.

Funeral services will be at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 4 with Jodi Hughes officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
