Keith Skaggs

Keith Skaggs, age 68, of Henderson, Kentucky, passed away on July 13, 2024.

Born in Henderson on July 26, 1955 to the late Henry Alvin and Joy Lou (Parrish) Skaggs, Keith was a lifelong resident of Henderson and a cherished member of the community.

Keith graduated from Henderson City High School in 1973 where he excelled in football, baseball, and basketball. He was described as the ultimate teammate- dedicated, always funny, smiling and upbeat.

Keith embodied this same exuberance everywhere he went. It’s no wonder he was deemed “Mr Revue” and was so very popular in high school.

Keith attended Henderson community college and achieved an associate’s degree.

Keith’s affable nature made him a beloved figure among his peers, maintaining lifelong friendships, a testament to his big, kind and friendly personality.

Professionally, Keith worked at Henderson Co. Road Dept.. for many years. He was dedicated to his work and well respected.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents and his younger brother, Steve Skaggs.

Keith is survived by Kathy Skaggs, his loving wife of 40 years and their son Michael, who will never forget the love he brought to their lives.

Services to honor and celebrate Keith’s life will be held at Tomblinson Funeral Home located at 325 1st St, Henderson, KY. Funeral services will be 12:00 PM, Thursday, July 18, 2024. Visitation will be 4:00 PM-7:00 PM, Wednesday and 10:00 AM until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Bro. Rick O’Daniel will officiate with burial in Fernwood Cemetery.

Keith’s passing is a significant loss to the Henderson community and he will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
