Kenneth Bloodworth, 85, of Sebree, passed away Monday January 17, 2022 at Baptist Health in Madisonville. He was born in Port Huron, Michigan on May 24, 1936 to the late Phillip Bloodworth and Marie (Butts) Bloodworth Lowe. Kenneth served 2 years in the United States Army in Germany. He worked 5 years as a correctional officer at the US Federal Prison in Marion, Illinois. He then began working in the construction field of building and repair and enjoyed investing in property and new business ventures. Kenneth was a 50 year member of both the Masonic Bailey Lodge #538 and the Rizpah Temple and Scottish rites in Madisonville. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and telling stories about his experiences. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son David Bloodworth, 2 brothers Lloyd and PJ Bloodworth. Survivors include his wife of 62 years Devona Bloodworth; 2 children Michael Bloodworth (Mona), Timothy Bloodworth (Amy); 8 grandchildren Spencer Bloodworth (Kristen), Kendall Thomas (Beau), Teal, Timber, Ethan, Landon, Caroline and Connor Bloodworth; 3 great-grandchildren Krew Thomas Kendrick Bloodworth and Sloan Bloodworth. Services will be 1:00 PM Saturday January 22, 2022 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Sebree Chapel with Dr. Bob Hardison officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Worsham Post 40 Honor Guard. Visitation will be Saturday 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Western Kentucky Veteran’s Center or St. Anthony’s Hospice.
