Kenneth Koy Burton

Kenneth (Kenny) K. Burton, 83, of Henderson passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at Methodist Hospital. He was born June 9, 1928 in Henderson KY to the late Ivy and Lillian (Hester) Burton. He worked as a maintenance supervisor for Sani-Clean (Sitex) for 16 years retiring with the company. He was a member of Bennett Memorial United Methodist Church and the Methodist Men’s Association of the church. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ivy and Lillian Burton, brother, Edison Burton, and sister, Greta Newman. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Doris; daughter Karen Hill and husband Bud Hill all of Henderson, KY. Two step grandchildren and five step great grandchildren. Services will be 10:00AM Friday, February 17, 2012 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel with Dr. Charles Linhart and Rev. Mary Wrye officiating. A private burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 3:00-7:00 PM Thursday, February 16 and 8:00AM-until service time Friday February 17 at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Bennett Memorial United Methodist Church, Henderson County Diabetes Coalition, and St. Anthony’s Hospice.
