Kenneth "Hot Shot" Ray Rice

Kenneth Ray “Hot Shot” Rice, 81, of Henderson, passed away Thursday, April 29, 2021 at his home under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice.  He was born in Henderson to the late James and Lola Rice on April 19, 1940.  Kenneth attended Faithway Baptist Church.  He enjoyed hunting, guns, fishing and building ultralight planes.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 son Scott Rice, 2 brothers Woody Rice and Harold Rice.  Survivors include 2 children Keith Rice (Tammie) of Corydon, Susan Rice of Ohio, daughter-in-law Penny Rice, 1 sister Wanda Ashby of Cairo, 4 grandchildren Mallory, Megan, Laura and Brittany.  Services will be 11:00 AM Monday May 3, 2021 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel with Pastor Dwight Cox officiating.  Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be Sunday 2-6PM and Monday 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.  Pallbearers will be Bill Walker, David Garber, Jeff Ashby, Jimmy Newcom, Ronnie Eblen and Larry Walker.  Honorary pallbearers will be Dan Phillips and Myron Woodard.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Anthony’s Hospice.
