Kenneth Howard King

Kenneth Howard King, 75, of Henderson, passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at Deaconess Henderson Hospital. He was born in Henderson on August 6, 1946 to Howard D. and Virginia H. (Sigler) King. He retired from Alcan and was a Vietnam veteran of the U.S. Army. He loved golfing and UK basketball, but especially his grandchildren and granddog, Jersey. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Virginia King. He is survived by his children, Kelly King of Henderson and Erin Whitman (Brian) of Robards; three grandchildren, Abigail Whitman, Rebekah Whitman, and Noah Whitman; siblings, Garry King (Marilyn) of Henderson and Deb Carlock (Bud) of Morgantown. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson with Bro. Brian Whitman officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home Saturday, February 5 from 10 a.m. until service time. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and/or Wounded Warrior Project.
