Kenneth Wayne “Newt” Fulkerson, 66 of Henderson passed away suddenly at his residence on Sunday, May 23, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence “Newt” and Dorothy Fulkerson, as well as four siblings, Jimmy and Barbara Berry, Faye Gibson and Margie Orsburn. He is survived by three brothers, Don (Terri) Berry, Mike (Amy) Fulkerson, Larry (Anita) Ivie and one sister, Pamela Sue Pippin, all of Henderson. He graduated from City High School in 1972. He was quite the athlete, having lettered in both football and baseball. He also attended Henderson Community College. Although Kenny didn’t have children of his own, he had a host of nieces and nephews that he considered his and they felt the same about him. He loved watching them play ball and rarely missed a game, he’d be their loudest cheerleader. He was the biggest kid of them all.He also had an incredible knack for making people laugh and he never met a stranger. He had too many friends to mention.He was a super sports enthusiast and loved talking games, players, stats and especially his favorite, Larry Bird. He will be sadly missed and forever remembered by all the lives he touched and the laughs he made. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Kenny’s Life on Saturday, June 5, 2021 from 11:00 AM-2:00 PM at St. Margaret’s Chapel, 685 Watson Lane, Henderson, KY. Rev. Rick O’Daniel will have a prayer at 2:00 PM. Following cremation per his request, a private family burial will be held.
