Kenneth Freeman Sugg

Kenneth Freeman Sugg, 82, of Henderson, passed away Friday, August 9, 2024, at Deaconess Henderson Hospital.

He was born on November 10, 1941, to the late William and Annie (Freeman) Sugg.

Kenneth retired from Whirlpool after 42 years and was a member of Zion Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, to whom he was a devoted husband for 52 years, Sandra (Inge) Sugg; sister, Wilma Staples; and brothers, Tommy Sugg and Jimmy “Bobo” Sugg.

Survivors include his children, Cheryl Basham (Brian) of Spottsville and David Sugg (Julie) of Smith Mills; four grandchildren, Jaemi McLevain (Shawn), Sasha Stone (Ethan), Brison Basham (Jenna), and Daxx Sugg (Whitnie); six great-grandchildren, Sydni, Asher, Sophi, Harper, Millie, and Emerson; sisters, Peggy Gish of Henderson and Brenda Collie of Henderson; brother, Billy Sugg (Sharon) of Joliet, IL; sister-in-law, Delilah Poole (Butch); and brother-in-law, John Tom Utley.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 13 at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson.

Burial will follow in Smith Mills Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, August 12, and Tuesday, August 13 from 9 a.m. until funeral time.

Pallbearers will be David Sugg, Daxx Sugg, Brian Basham, Brison Basham, Skip Sugg, and Doug Rouse.
