Kenneth Wilson Swearer

Kenneth Wilson Swearer, 84, of Spottsville, KY passed away Thursday, December 6, 2018 at his home. Mr. Swearer was born in Henderson County to the late Wilson and Nina Swearer.  After 43 years, he retired from the Iron Workers Local 103.  He was a member of the Spottsville Baptist Church.  In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by his first wife of 48 years, Sue Swearer, second wife Joyce Swearer and daughter, Deena Swearer. Mr. Swearer is survived by two children, Gregory Swearer of Spottsville and Cindy Pruden and husband Jack of Spottsville; grandchildren, Jessica Pruden, Cody Pruden and wife Kelly, Nathan Swearer, Kendra Nolan and husband Chris, Samantha Wicker and husband David, Shawnee Book and husband Cody, Kenneth Sutton, Melissa Martinez and Cyndi Clausen; 16 great grandchildren; five siblings, Marie Kendall of Tempe, AZ, Larry Swearer of Henderson, KY, Gail Gilmore of Spottsville, KY, Billy Swearer of Reed, KY, Danny Swearer of Reed, KY and several nieces and nephews and companion, Judy Ewing.  Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 11, 2018, 1:00 PM at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson with Bros. Paul Davis and Hal Branson officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.   Visitation will be Monday, December, 10, 2018, 4:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home and Tuesday, December 11, 2018, 9:00AM-1:00PM. Pallbearers will be Cody Pruden, Tim Darnell, David Wicker, Cody Book, Dylan Dossett, and Bruce Mays.  Memorial contributions can be made to Spottsville Baptist Church, 6842 Old Henderson Rd., Spottsville, KY 42458 or to St. Anthony’s Hospice, 2410 South Green St., Henderson, KY 42420.
