Kevin Patrick Scanlon, 70, of Morganfield, passed away on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at Deaconess Midtown in Evansville. He was born in East Hazel Crest, IL on October 27, 1950 to Thomas F. and Mary J. (McDermott) Scanlon. Kevin was known as a caring and hard-working man with an unforgettable and spontaneous personality. Honest and outspoken, he said whatever came to mind. He could make you laugh and let you have it, all at the same time. He had a stubborn streak a mile wide but was charming with the ladies and loyal to his friends. He was an entrepreneur and knew just about everyone. He loved his daughter, Danielle and thought of her as the light of his life. He went out of his way to take care of her friends, whom he thought of as his own. He was preceded in death by his parents and several siblings. He is survived by his daughter, Danielle Bailey-Scanlon (Zachary Speaks) of Henderson; son, Ryan DePesa of California; grandchildren, Sophia Speaks, Jaxon Speaks, and Elena Speaks; and sister, Anne Croteau of Chicago, IL. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 11 at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson with Jon Lambert officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
