Rev. Larry Martin Babb, 77 of Henderson, KY passed away at 9:09 AM Sunday November 24, 2013 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. He was born in Highland Park, MI on December 5, 1935 to the late Chester Martin and Anna Belle (Travis) Babb. He was a member of Finley Bapist Church in Henderson and attended Zion United General Baptist Church in Evansville. Larry was a machinist with Osborn Brush Company in Henderson until the plant closed. He was also a Baptist minister having pastored Cherry Hill Missionary Baptist in Robards, Cairo Missionary Baptist, Smith Mills Missionary Baptist, Alvord Missionary Baptist in Evansville, Loeb Street Missionary Baptist in Henderson and Niagara Missionary Baptist. He was also a retired bus driver for the City of Henderson. He was also a Korean War Marine veteran and a member of Corydon Masonic Lodge # 799. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister; Judy Ann Babb. Larry is survived by his wife of 56 years; Patricia Louise (Burdge) Babb One son; Mark Babb of Henderson 3 sisters; Betty June Angel of Evansville, IN Nancy Van Wyke of Washington State Peggy Haner of Henderson, KY 3 brothers; Joe Babb of Washington State Danny Babb of Milwaukie, WI Mike Babb of Henderson, KY Nieces and Nephews Services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday November 27, 2013 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Bro. Don Berry will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with full military honors by American Legion Worsham Post 40. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 and Wednesday 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Mike Brown, Lanny McKee, George Woodard, James Haner, Ron Burdge and Ricky Shockley. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Childrens Hospital.
