Larry Buckman

Larry Adrian Buckman, 75, of Henderson passed away Sunday September 25, 2022 at his home under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice.

He was born in Henderson County on March 27, 1947 to the late William E. and Martha J. (Harrington) Buckman.

Larry was a coal miner and attended Corydon Missionary Baptist Church. He was a US Air Force Veteran who had served in the Vietnam War.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his nephew Daryl Oglesby, brother-in-law Charles Nobles and mother-in-law Wynema Shelton.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years Donna Buckman; one daughter Kelly Blanford (Brian); one sister Gladys Nobles, one brother Carl Buckman (Louise); two grandchildren Elizabeth Blanford, Will Blanford; sister-in-law Brenda Draper (Dan); several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday September 29, 2022 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel with Bro. Rick O’Daniel officiating.

Burial will be in Corydon Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Will Blanford, Brian Blanford, Bart Eblen, Tim Palummo, James Nobles, Darrell Wright and Elizabeth Blanford. Honorary pallbearers are James Utley, Kenny LaPradd, Ronnie Kellen, Wesley Oswalt, Billy Joe Vowels, Steve O’Nan and Ronnie Duncan.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Anthony’s Hopsice.
