Larry Ray Hancock, 67 of Henderson, KY died at Methodist Hospital on August 31, 2011. He was a retired painter with local #156. He was a member of Hyland Baptist Church. He was born in Henderson County on March 3, 1944 to the late Raymond Douglas and Mabel Ruth (Steele) Hancock. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Anita McDaniels, grandson, Michael Swindle, and great-grandson, Bentley James Griffin. He is survived by his companion, Neate Dixon. 3 children – son - Jimmy Wayne Stratton of Russellville, KY 2 daughters – Faith Ann Echols and husband Paul D. Echols of Corydon, KY Laura Rae Swindle and husband Bobby Swindle of Moulton, AL 1 sister Sue Capps and husband Barkley Capps of Henderson 4 Grandchildren: Shanda Griffin, Jimmy Griffin, Brandon Dame and Jeremy Swindle. 4 Great Grandchildren Services will be 2:00 PM Friday September 2 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Burial will be in Fernwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Thursday September 1 and 9 AM until service time Friday. Bro. John Brothers will officiate.
