Larry Wayne Sigler

Larry Wayne Sigler, 83, of Henderson, Ky passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2024 at his home surrounded by loved ones, under the care of St. Anthony's Hospice.

Larry was born January 18, 1941 to the late Paul and Mary (Buckman) Sigler. Larry served in the U.S. Navy from 1958-1962 achieving rank of MM2 on the USS Galveston (CLG-3) guided missile cruiser. He then started work at the Bear Brand Hosiery mill in maintenance. He then spent 10 years in maintenance at Methodist hospital. Larry was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.

Larry's hobbies and interests were a testament to his life. Larry was an avid fisherman, finding solace on the water. Larry’s passion was fixing items big or small. His favorites were working on vehicles and his model airplanes. He was adventurous, loving the open road whether it be in his beloved truck, or his motorcycle. He was a talented guitarist and harmonica player, often playing for his family and friends.

Larry is preceded in death by 3 brothers Christopher Sigler, Hugh (Hughie) Sigler, James (Jimmy) Sigler; mother Mary (Buckman) Sigler; and father Paul Sigler.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years Virginia "Ginny" (Blanford) Sigler; beloved niece Leslie Gibson; two grandchildren Lorren Pate (Daniel), Mason Gibson; two brothers Paul L. Sigler (Henrietta), Neal Sigler (Patricia); two sisters Martha Royster (Tony), Barbara Dye;

one great-grandchild Gideon Pate and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be 1:00pm on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel with Deacon Richard Beaven officating and burial to follow in St. Louis Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday at 11:00 until service time at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Anthony's Hospice.
