Lavenia Evelyn Hargis

Lavenia Evelyn Hargis, 87 of Henderson passed away Sunday October 26, 2014 at home. She was born June 09, 1927 in Bowling Green to the late Clarence and Katherine (Whitaker) Langston. She retired as a Secretary for Methodist Hospital and a member of Airline Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband W. T. Hargis, son; W. T. Hargis, Jr. and a great grandson Conner James Hargis. She is survived by 3 children; Darrell (Michele) Hargis of Henderson, Mark (Monica) Hargis of Henderson Cheryl Nunn of Henderson. One brother C.V. (Alice) Langston of Henderson. 8 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren Nieces and nephews Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M Thursday at Tomblinson funeral Home Henderson Chapel with Rev. Nathan Whisnant officiating. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery in Henderson. Visitation will be Wednesday 4-8 at the funeral home and Thursday 10:00 A.M until service time. Pallbearers will be Zachary Hargis, Zebadiah Hargis, Jonathan Nunn, Isaac Hargis, Jordan Green and Derrick Cates. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Airline Baptist Church.
