Leo Wilson

Leo Wilson, 96, of Henderson, KY, formally of Smith Mills, KY, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2024, at home surrounded by family.

Leo was born in Henderson, KY to the late, Iley and Vernie Wilson. He worked as a farmer most of his life. He enjoyed playing the guitar, wood working, working on lawn mowers and cars. He was a member of Henderson United Church of Nazarene.

In addition to his parents, Leo was preceded in death by his son, Robert Leo Wilson; sisters, Evelyn Shaffer, Lucille Long; 11 half brothers and sisters.

Leo is survived by his wife of 73 years, Charlteain Wilson of Henderson, KY; son, Arnold Wilson (Sheila) of Henderson, KY; daughter in law, Judy Wilson of Smith Mills, KY; 3 grandchildren, Robbie Wilson (LaRae) of Marion, KY, Arnie Wilson (Faith) of Huntsville, AL, Christina Crowe of Henderson, KY; 8 great grandchildren, Bobby Wilson, Ryan Wilson, Derek Wilson, Lillian Crowe, Ethan Crowe, Brady Wilson, Grant Wison, Reed Wilson; 7 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Saturday, February 10, 2024, 11:00 AM with Rev. Keith Griffin and Pastor Arnie Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Smith Mills Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday, February 9, 2024, 4:00-8:00 PM and Saturday, February 10, 2024, 9:00 AM until service time.

Pallbearers are Robbie Wilson, Bobby Wilson, Brady Wilson, Ethan Crowe, Ed Parry, and Jeff Stebbins.
